AYN Working Groups
AYN Working groups are topic-specific communities
for youth engaging in the issues of today.
Learning & Sharing

Working Group members work together to learn, share their experiences, and produce resources to inform others on the critical aspects of their topic. Discussion groups, webinars, conference sessions, toolkits, media content and more: working groups are on it!

Direct Engagement

Through collaborations with prominent organizations and institutions, AYN Working Groups engage directly with the processes shaping the North, participating in consultations, research projects, and advisory councils.

Oceans

The AYN Oceans Group is a youth-led platform for young people across the world to discuss and collaborate on ocean governance. This year’s main topic will be the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction, which is an upcoming international agreement for conservation in the high seas, and is currently being negotiated at the United Nations.

AYO

Wellbeing

The Arctic Youth Wellbeing Network will aim to engage youth in issues of mental health, develop their leadership capacity and skills, and provide resources and opportunities to create positive impact in their communities and beyond.

AYWN

Climate Change

Arctic youth are at the forefront of myriad changes—in the way their lives and communities are being affected, but also in their drive to create the change necessary to ensure a sustainable future. In the Arctic, climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security are intrinsically linked, and the AYN’s Climate Change Working Group aims to tackle these realities through collaboration, learning, and project development.
