About the Author: Ben McTaggart

Ben McTaggart is a graduate of Vancouver Island University focusing in Anthropology and History and a current masters student at the University of Ottawa in International Development. Having worked on archaeological sites internationally and sailed various seas, he is interested in exploring the intersections of human mobility, maritime history, ocean governance and international environmental policy, currently in an Arctic context.
